Alayned Coaching & Consulting

Where purpose meets profession—and alignment becomes a way of life.

Who We Are

Alayned (pronounced “Aligned”) is a culturally grounded consultancy designed to help mission-driven organizations and individuals lead with purpose and live in alignment. We curate transformative spaces where professionals align what they do with who they are.

Who We Serve

A woman with short curly hair and earrings is smiling broadly while embracing another person.

Alayned exists for mission-driven leaders who are ready to lead and live differently. Many arrive at a crossroads—professionally, personally, or both—searching for clarity that speaks to who they are, not just what they do.

They are Black high-achieving and purpose-driven women, often navigating systems never built with them in mind. They want more than surface-level advice. They want space to reflect, tools that work, and guidance that honors their complexity and their culture.

We also partner with mission-driven organizations—nonprofits, philanthropic institutions, and advocacy-focused companies—committed to cultivating meaningful leadership from the inside out.

Courses

  • What Others Say...

"On some level, all of us are in a transition and any transition is easier when you believe in yourself and your talents. Obenewa helped me make the transition into thinking more deeply about my new role as a Senior Marketing Executive. She was instrumental in providing me with a sounding board for strategic decision-making while helping me identify skills I did not know I had."

    -RM, Nonprofit Marketing Executive

  • What Others Say...

“I was able to use what I learned in the course Accelerate in my career as an academic immediately.  Within a year of the course I was promoted, I was published in a book for the first time, presented at two international conferences, and was asked to join UN panel as an expert.  Accelerate is one of the best professional decisions I ever made.”

    -LT, Associate Professor

  • What Others Say...

"Obenewa’s facilitation is dynamic; never formulaic, never predictable. Her capacity to enable participants to look in the mirror and reflect on what they see is impressive. And she has an uncanny ability to weave the lightness of humor and fun into a tapestry with the heavier threads of contemplation."

  • What Others Say...

“Obenewa has a unique talent creating a welcoming environment, inclusive of the team's existing knowledge and experience. She impressed us with how seamlessly she created an open dialogue among a diverse group and encouraged growth on each of our personal journeys."

    -AG, Allied Health Professional

  • What Others Say...

“There is so much I took away from this journey – it completely changed my life, my leadership, my relationship with my work and with the people I work with, and most importantly, who I am in my work.”

    -CM, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
